When you are looking for a job, one of the first things you will need is a Curriculum Vitae. When setting up a

business, it can be dangerous without a business plan. A good business plan is the foundation for a successful business and, as with your CV, it needs to be updated periodically.

But the need for a business plan is no longer restricted to commercial operations. All voluntary sector
organisations now need business plans and many project funding applications also need a business plan.

David Clarke has had to prove his own business plans, both in the voluntary and commercial sectors. He successfully launched a commercial business in Brixton in the early 1980s when the trend was to pull out.
