What this course is about

(Course aims & objectives)

 

To boost learners confidence in using the MS Office suite of programs: Word; Excel; PowerPoint and to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to pass at least 1 and hopefully 3 (maximum of 5) Unit exams for the ITQ Award / Certificate.

What the course will cover

 

At the end of the programme, you should be able to:

Produce properly formatted, word processed documents

B

Organise your files, documents and folders

C

Produce spreadsheets and statistical charts

D

Produce an e-Presentation

Time and Day

 

Tuesdays & Thursdays  18:00-20:00

How I will learn & be assessed

 

You will receive detailed instruction from your tutor every lesson. You will also be issued with a student manual, exercises and handouts.

Your tutor will monitor your progress during lessons and advise you according. You will also be able to monitor your own progress through written material and the documents you will produce and by self assessment progress forms.

Will I gain a Qualification?

 

Yes. If you pass any of the 3 Unit exams you will receive a unit accreditation certificate.  3 or more Unit exams will earn you an ITQ Award and 5 passed Unit exams will earn you a Certificate.

What could this course lead to?

 

This course could lead to the more advanced accredited course, ITQ Level 2, better employment, volunteer opportunities or make it easier for you to study another subject involving IT.

How much does it cost?

 

The course costs £30 which includes course materials, a notebook and USB storage device for your class files.

Additional Info

 

Additional units will be available to learners who finish the course work early, these will be on a self study basis
